As I contemplate the things the Lord has done for me this year, I look back with a grateful heart. My husband survived heart surgery and is doing well. My daughter is healthy and happy, and we have food on our table and a roof over us. No matter how hard it seems things are, God always takes care of us.
When the pilgrims celebrated their first harvest in the new world, though they had lost so much, I am positive they thanked God for bringing them out of persecution.
It is especially hard in today’s world with the PLANdemic raging, gas prices soaring out of control, and shelves at the grocery store nearly empty, to see we are still a blessed people in America. Yet, I believe firmly that God is still in control.
If we lose faith in our God, we have already lost the war on all of the evil attempting to destroy our country. I believe that America is still the last beacon of hope and freedom for the rest of the world.
I want to encourage you this Thanksgiving. When you are going through difficult times, look up, for that is where our help comes from. Nowhere else can we find refuge but through our savior.
My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
I wish you all a healthy, happy Thanksgiving day and that our God blesses you.
