On Tuesday, Russian news outlets and Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova accused the United States of working with Ukrainian laboratories to develop biological weapons. Russian media increased the accusations as Moscow’s military moved into Ukraine.

And of course, Mainstream media outlets were quick to defend the Biden administration and called it misinformation by Russia.

Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland testified to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday that the United States is “now quite concerned Russian troops … may be seeking to gain control of the facilities, so we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach.”

On Wednesday the United States denied the accusations that Washington was operating biowarfare labs in Ukraine, calling the claims “laughable” and suggesting Moscow may be laying the groundwork to use a chemical or biological weapon.

If the United States doesn’t have Biolabs in Ukraine, or if they are not working with Ukrainian Biolabs, then why are we worried about them falling into Russian hands? Either we have Biolabs there, or we don’t, which is it, President Biden?

Did the Undersecretary make a mistake? Is she confused? I don’t think she is confused, but I don’t think she made the Biden administration happy at admitting they were ‘worried’ about information and Biolabs falling into Putin’s hands. Now, that was a laughable situation. One of their own telling the American people more than they had intended.
