Jen Psaki’s last day was Friday. She answered the reporter’s questions approximately every weekday for the 500 days Biden has been in office. As a result, she became the top White House communicator and the most public face, third only to Biden and Harris.

Karine Jean-Pierre, the first Black woman and openly LGBTQ person to be White House press secretary, will replace Psaki. Jean-Pierre was Psaki’s Chief-Deputy and has been a long-time advisor to Biden.

Psaki may join MSNBC, well known for its favoritism toward Biden. She has not denied these rumors. Jean-Pierre was a former analyst at MSNBC.

While she was the White House Spokesperson, Psaki had fans, but she received much criticism while in the role.

Martha Joynt Kumar, a political science professor emerita at Towson University and director of the White House Transition Project, had this to say about Psaki, “Anybody with a brain would want her to stay because she’s so good.”

Many Republicans did not like Psaki. One such critic, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a former Trump press secretary now running for Arkansas governor, said Psaki’s failure to urge people to stop protesting outside the homes of judges represented “mind-boggling hypocrisy.”

A New York Post columnist called Psaki “the condescending face of the Biden administration.”

The White House says that Jean-Pierre will bring personal solid expertise and personality to the briefing room.

Compared to Sarah Sanders and Kayleigh McEnany, Psaki mocked the White House position and brought many blunders and mistakes that Republicans enjoyed critiquing and making light of.

Will this new press secretary respect the position and answer the questions truthfully, or will she repeat Psaki’s actions by ignoring the questions asked and dodging hard-hitting questions.

We will have to wait and see.
