What is Title 42? The Title 42 law was established in 1944 to prevent the spread of influenza and allow authorities to bar entry to foreigners at risk of spreading the disease. In March 2020, on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendation, President Donald Trump invoked the law to minimize the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
President Trump wanted to close the U.S.-Mexico border and restrict the number of new immigrants. It allows the border patrol officers to deny entries and imports from designated places to prevent spreading of communicable diseases.
Approximately around 51 thousand people were sent back to their own countries due to Title 42 during the first months of Covid-19. I believe that in doing this, President Trump saved many lives. President Trump’s administration’s anti-immigration policies are set to expire on December 21, 2022. Judge Richard Cortez says ending President Trump’s Title 42 Border Policy will be a disaster. Of course, President Trump was criticized when he implemented Title 42. With the help of mainstream media’s lies, Joe Biden and his office have done nothing but destroy President Trump’s accomplishments and policies at the border. Judge Cortez, a democratic judge, fears what will occur to our country and specifically at the border locations, once Title 42 ends. He is right in his fears. We all should shudder at the thought.
